Dr. Jaceb Sobel was elected president of the Medical Advisory Board of the Hospital for Joint Diseases yesterday, the hospital announced.
Dr. Sobel is a graduate of the College of the City of New York, the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia University, and has attended medical schools in Berlin, Vienna and Munich. He is attending pediatrician at the Joint Disease Hospital and at Beth David Hospital, and is director of pediatrics at Gouverneur Hospital. A number of books on medical subjects have been written by him.
Dr. Sobel was formerly connected with the New York City Department of Health as assistant director of the Bureau of Child Hygiene.
Other officers of the advisory board include Dr. Albert A. Epstein and Dr. Henry L. Jaffe, vice-president and secretary respectively.
