Dr. Jacob Singer, rabbi emeritus of Temple Mizpah here, died here yesterday at the age of 81. He was a former president of the Chicago Rabbinical Association. Born in Latvia, Rabbi Singer was a chaplain in the U. S. Army during the First World War. He had occupied the pulpit of Temple Mizpah since 1923 and was the founder and first director of the B’nai B’rith Hillel Foundation at Northwestern University.
