Dr. Jeffrey Hollander, principle of the Mormon Brigham Young University in Salt Lake City, counters claims by Orthodox elements in Israel that the university branch now being planned for Jerusalem is designed to convert Jews by saying that if they had intended proselytizing they would not build such a big building in a most prominent spot on Mount Scopus. Hollander told reporters he had come to Israel not as a representative of the Mormon Church but as head of the university, to sign agreements with Jerusalem Mayor Teddy Kollek on construction of the building, which he said was one of many branches of the university throughout the world.
