Dr. Joseph Jastrow, noted Jewish psychologist, died here yesterday at the age of 80. Dr. Jastrow stopped teaching in 1933, but had continued his writing until recently. Born in Warsaw in Jan. 1863, he was brought to the United States while still a child and was educated here, graduating from the University of Pennsylvania in 1882. From 1888 to 1927 he lectured at the University of Wisconsin, and from 1927 to 1933 at the New School for Social Research in New York. He was the author of numerous volumes on psychology and was an expert on abnormal and child psychology.
