The merit award of the American ORT Federation for distinguished service in the field of human rehabilitation will be presented to Dr. Joseph J. Schwartz, executive vice-chairman of the United Jewish Appeal, at the annual meeting of the organization’s board of directors on January 16th in New York, Dr. William Haber, president, announced today. The ORT award was first established in 1949. Previous recipients have been Senator Herbert H. Lehman and Dr. Haber.
