Dr. Judah J. Shapiro of New York, director of the Department of Cultural and Educational Reconstruction of the Conference of Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, was appointed national director of the B’nai B’rith Hillel Foundations Dr. Shapiro succeeds Rabbi Arthur J. Lelyveld who has accepted the post of executive vice-president of the American Israel Foundation. The appointment was announced by the Hillel Commission which met here.
