Declaring that he had come to Warsaw to see with his own eyes how the Jews of Poland were living today, Dr. Bernard Kahn, European Director of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, received the press today at the B’nai B’rith local headquarters here.
Dr. Kahn listened with great interest to a vivid and moving account, given him by journalists, of the great economic, social and cultural distress of the three and a half million Jews of Poland.
Dr. Kahn, who is here with Dr. David Schweitzer. European vice-director of the Joint Distribution Committee, will remain here for several days and compile authentic material on the Jewish situation in Poland.
