Governor Herbert H. Lehman of New York State has nominated a Rochester Jewish physician, Dr. Charles Kaufman, for appointment to the Board of Visitors of the New York State Agricultural and Industrial School at Industry, N. Y. The appointment is for a period of seven years. The school is one of the best known institutions maintained by a state for delinquent boys in the country. It has more than 500 inmates and is operated on a budget calling for an annual expenditure of a half million dollars.
Dr. Kaufman is a graduate of the University of Rochester and the University of Buffalo Medical School.
