Three honorary degrees were awarded today at the second special war-time commencement exercises of the Jewish Institute of Religion. Capt. Robert D. Workman, Chief of Chaplains of the United States Navy, was the recipient of the degree of Doctor of Divinity. Bronislow Huberman, violinist and founder of the Palestine Symphony Orchestra, and Dr. Jacob Klazkin were awarded the degree of Doctor of Hebrew Letters. Dr. Klatzkin is the editor of the Encyclopaedia Judaica and author of “Thesaurus Philosophicus” and “In Praise of Wisdom” recently published.
