Rabbi Baruch Korff, co-chairman of the Political Action Committee for Palestine, has been denied a transit visa to England and a visitor’s visa to Palestine, the committee revealed here today. Dr. Korff is schoduled to fly today to France.
The National Maritime Union has recommended to its 90,000 members not to man ships carrying war materials to be used against the Jews in Palestine, the American Jewish labor Council announced today. Ferdinand C. Smith, national secretary of the seamen’s union, in a letter announcing the action, denounced the “dastardly pogroms being waged by the British against the Jewish people of Palestine” and the continued presence of displaced Jews in camps two years after the fall of the Hitler regime.
