Doctor Leo Baeck, former Chief Rabbi of Berlin and president of the National Council of German Jews throughout the Hitler regimes, was awarded the honorary degree of Doctor of Divinity at a special convocation in his honor today at the Jewish Theological Seminary of America. More than 300 representatives of fifty of the most important Jewish educational, religious and community organizations attended the ceremonies.
