Dr. Leo L. Honor, director of the College of Jewish Studies, Chicago, delivered the opening address at the Mid-Western Avukah Conference which began a three-day session at the University of Wisconsin in Hillel Foundation yesterday evening. Representatives from five Middle Western universities attended the open meeting.
Dr. Honor’s topic was “Zionism and Jewish Youth.” Others expected to participate in the conference are Judah Pilch, executive secretary of the Jewish National Fund, Rabbi Max Kadushin, director of the Wisconsin Hillel Foundation and Rabbi Samuel Blumenfeld, honorary president of the National Avukah.
One of the conference seminars will be conducted entirely in Hebrew.
