Dr. Lion Feuchtwanger, the wellknown German novelist, will be the guest of honor at the Harmonie Club, Tuesday evening, December 20th at a reception given by Dr. A. S. W. Rosenbach, book-seller, author and bibliophile of New York and Philadelphia. Dr. Feuchtwanger who will speak on “The Cultural Renaissance of the Near East” is expected to sail for Palestine shortly, where he will lecture at the Hebrew University at Jerusalem.
Felix M. Warburg, James Marshall, Walter E. Meyer, Judge Julian W. Mack, Dr. Solomon Lowenstein, Roger W. Straus, Dr. Emanuel Libman, Eugene Untermeyer and Elisha M. Friedman are among those included on the Committee on Arrangements. The reception to Dr. Feuchtwanger will be preceded by a dinner in his honor at the home of Dr. Rosenbach.
