While the entire Jewish world was celebrating the tenth anniversary of the founding of the Hebrew University in Palestine, the celebration here consisted of a modest tea party given by Chancellor Judah L. Magnes, chancellor of the University, to members of the press.
The official celebrations of the university’s anniversary will be held in Palestine on April 10th, according to the Jewish calendar.
Dr. Magnes expressed the hope that the budget of the Hebrew University would be definitely increased during the next two years to $500,000 a year.
