Dr. Max Bergmann, 58, a member of the Rockefeller Institute for Medical Research and internationally noted biochemist, died yesterday at Mount Sinai Hospital.
Dr. Bergmann, who was born in Germany and received his scientific training at the universities of Berlin and Munich, in 1921 was appointed to the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute. With the rise of Nazi persecution he came to the United States 10 years ago.
