Dr. Moses Einhorn, a prominent Jewish physician and a leading gastroenterologist, died here yesterday at the age of 69. He was editor and publisher of Harofe Haivzl, the Hebrew Medical Journal, which he founded in 1927.
Born in Russia, Dr. Einhorn established his medical practice in this country in 1927 and he was credited with the design of more than a score of instruments used in the gastroenterological field. He was the founder and former president of the Ivrith Medical Society of New York.
Active in a wide variety of projects for Israeli institutions, Dr. Einhorn established the Einhorn Medical Library at the Kaplan Hospital in Rehovot and the Moses Einhorn Medical Library of the Tel Aviv branch of the Israel Medical Association.
He also took the initiative for the establishment of a dental institute under the auspices of the Tel Aviv Municipality and Tel Aviv University. He was a member of the Alumni Association of the Herzliah Gymnasium in Tel Aviv.
