The eightieth birthday of Dr. Moses Gaster, retired chief rabbi of the Spanish and Portuguese Jewish communities, veteran Zionist leader and one of the Jews’ most noted scholars, will be celebrated tomorrow.
Known as Hacham (Savant) Gaster, he will spend the day quietly with no special observance planned. Scores of congratulatory messages were received at his home today.
