Dr. Natalio Berman, noted physician, author and former member of the Chilean Congress, died here Sunday night, He was 49.
A native of Odessa, Russia, Dr. Berman was brought to Chile by his parents when he was seven years old. Dr. Berman received his medical degree at the University of Chile in 1930. He was elected to Congress in 1937 and served as a deputy for 12 years. He was a leading figure in the Santiago Jewish community and in pro-Israel activities. He had three books published, one of them a novel.
