Dr. Emanuel Neumann, member of the Jewish Agency executive, sailed today for South Africa on an invitation from the South-African Zionist Federation to launch the Union’s United Israel Funds Campaign for 1952. He will also go on a speaking tour through the Union during part of July and August.
Before his departure, Dr. Neumann told a press conference that he was engaged in efforts to initiate a new program of intensive economic activity in the Zionist Organization of America, designed to stimulate investments in industrial and economic enterprises in Israel. “This new effort, to be carried on in close cooperation with the economic department of the Jewish Agency, has the enthusiastic support of the new administration of the Z.O.A. headed by Rabbi Irving Miller, “he stated.
