Dr. Emanuel Neumann, re-elected president of the Zionist Organization of America, this week-end addressed the pledges of support on behalf of his organization to the leaders of the Jewish state of Israel in cables to Dr. Chaim Weizmann, President; David Ben Gurion, Prime Minister and Moshe Shertok, foreign Minister of the Provisional Government of Israel.
The message to Dr. Weizmann extended greetings and an expression of respect and high esteem. In his cable to Ben Gurion, Dr. Neumann pledged “our continued unstinted support in the great struggle you are having to ensure security and stability of the Republic of Israel.” The cable to Shertok said in part: “We shall continue to follow with deepest interest and admiration your skilful efforts to pilot the Republic of Israel through the political storms and shoals to safe anchorage. More strength to you.”
