Dr. Edward Pachtmann, a member of the Israel delegation to the current session here of the World Jewish Congress executive, died yesterday.
Born in 1904 in Drohowicz, Galicia, he became a well known lawyer and active Zionist in Austria which he left for Israel in 1938, after the Hitler Anchluss. He was a former president of the Lawyers Association of Israel. Dr. Pachtmann was an honorary judge in Tel Aviv. He was a member of the Israel executive of the WJC for the past five years.
