Dr. Ricardo Dubrovsky has been elected president of the DAIA, central body of Argentine Jewry, succeeding Dr. Moises Goldmann, who refused to stand for re-election because of the failure of opposition groups in the DAIA to reconcile their differences.
Dr. Dubrovsky, who is not an adherent of any faction, was elected chiefly by Zionist votes. He was previously vice-president of the DAIA and has been president of the B’nai B’rith and vice-president of the OSE. The vote was 43 for Dubrovsky, 40 ## abstentions and 5 for Goldmann, despite his refusal to run.
