Dr. Joseph A. Rosen, head of the Agrojoint, the agency of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee in Russia, is arriving today on the steamer “Berengaria.” He is accompanied by Dr. Ezekiel Grower, legal adviser of the Agrojoint in Moscow.
It was learned that Dr. Rosen’s visit to the United States is connected with the further extension of the Jewish colonization work in Crimea and various parts of the Ukraine. He is said to be bringing with him projects of colonization work in new areas which the Russian government is offering for Jewish settlement in the vicinity of the present J. D. C. colonies. A series of conferencs with the leaders of the Joint Distribution Committee will be held.
