Dr. Samuel Rosen, a prominent Jewish physician and a world-famous ear surgeon at Mount Sinai Hospital here, has been elected to membership in the Academy of Medical Sciences of the Soviet Union. Dr. Rosen was notified by cable from Moscow that he had been “unanimously elected as a foreign member” of the Academy; About three months ago. Dr. Rosen was scheduled to go to Communist China to demonstrate his surgical techniques but the invitation was withdrawn by Peking.
