Dr. Samuel Nirenstein was re-elected yesterday president of the Union of Orthodox Jewish Congregations of America at the closing session of the organization’s 50th annual convention.
Dr. Nirenstein disclosed that a budget of $200,000 for this year has been approved by the Union for the coordination and expansion of Orthodox religious activities in various parts of the U.S. The Union will soon open several field offices in large Jewish urban centers, he said.
