Dr. Miklas, president of the Austrian Republic, has conferred the Austrian Service Order on Dr. Julius Schnitzler, chief physician of the Municipal Hospital of Wieden, who has just retired.
Prof. Schnitzler is a brother of the famous novelist and playwright, Arthur Schnitzler, who was first a physician. Prof. Johann Schnitzler, father of the two, was professor of medicine at Vienna University, and their brother-in-law is Prof. Hajek, the famous laryngologist.
