Dr. Lawrence H. Seltzer, of the faculty of the economics department of the College of the City of Detroit, has left for Washington to become an adviser to the Department of Commerce in the work of inspecting codes submitted under the National Industrial Recovery Act.
Granted a month’s leave of absence by the Board of Education, Dr. Seltzer assumes his duties in Washington at once. He is recognized as one of Michigan’s ablest economists, and is especially known for the intensive study he made of the economics of automobile manufacturing.
