Dr. Abba Hillel Silver, veteran American Zionist leader, arrived here by plane last night and was greeted by General Zionist leaders and a crowd of admirers. Shortly after his arrival, Dr. Silver conferred with Premier David Ben Gurion in the latter’s office here. It is understood that the two men spoke of Israel’s defense needs Dr. Silver is in Israel to attend exercises dedicating a settlement in his name.
