The headquarters of the Zionist Organization of America today reported that Dr. Abba Hillel Silver has “endorsed wholeheartedly” the program of action presented by Benjamin G. Prowdy, president of the organization, to a regional Zionist conference in Boston. Dr. Silver added that Mr. Browdy “will make a first-rate president.”
The conference, attended by delegates representing 15,000 members of Z.O.A. branches throughgout the New England Region, adopted a resolution “endorsing and supporting” the candidacy of Mr. Browdy as Z.O.A. president at the forthcoming national convention of the organization, which opens in Chicago on June 30.
