Dr. Sol J Appelbaum has been re-appointed Chairman of the Periodic Health Examination Committee of the Rochester and Monroe County Tuberculosis and Public Health Association.
His work in this capacity during the past year has been highly praised by public health officials throughout the state and the periodic health examination campign conducted in this city under Dr. Appelbaum’s direction has aroused widespread interest in many sections of the country. A number of requests for detailed infromation about it have come to the Association.
Dr. Appelbaum was also appointed chairman of the same committee of the Medical Society of the County of Monroe and in this position he has direct supervision and control over the development and promotion of periodic health examinations throughout Rochester and Monroe County.
The Tuberculosis Association also elected Dr. Appelbaum a member of the Board of Directors for a three year term at the 1932 meeting.
Rabbi Philip S. Bernstein of Temple Brith Kodesh and Mrs. Samuel Weil are others elected to the Board of Directors.
A score of Jewish physicians here are co-operating in the Periodic Health Examination Campign now in progress.
