Funeral services will be held here tomorrow for Dr. Solomon Ullman, former Belgian Chief Rabbi and former Chief Jewish Chaplain of the Belgian army who died yesterday at the age of 83.
Born in Hungary, he served as a rabbi in Cairo, Antwerp and Amsterdam. He was Belgian Chief Rabbi from 1940 to 1957. Dr. Ullman was renowned as an eminent scholar. He was author of “A Study of the Jews in Belgium and Holland.”
