Dr. Aron Syngalowski, chairman of the executive committee of the World ORT Union, arrived here today to participate with the American ORT Federation in negotiations with the Joint Distribution Committee for 1951 fund allocations. Since 1947, ORT has received yearly subventions for the support of its overseas vocational training installations through special agreement with the J.D.C.
Prior to his arrival here, Dr. Syngalowski participated in a general conference with J.D.C. country directore where the ORT program for 1951 was discussed in detail. During his stay in the United States, Dr. Syngalowski will address a number of meetings of the American ORT Federation presenting a review of the problems and perspectives for the 1951 vocational training operations with particular emphasis on Israel and North Africa.
