Dr. Aron Syngalowski, chairman of the World ORT Union, today returned to Europe after completing his negotiations with the Joint Distribution Committee for the renewal of the agreement between the two organizations for 1952.
The ORT leader expressed satisfaction with the assistance which his organization is receiving from the J.D.C. and pointed out that during the past year ORT maintained 275 vocational schools, with an enrollment of over 20,000 students in 22 countries, including Israel. However, he emphasized that the ORT is not receiving any aid from the J.D.C. for its activities in Israel, where, he said, his organization maintains 23 vocational schools.
