Zionists in Roumania, joined by non-Zionist Jewish leaders, accorded a most cordial reception to Dr. Chaim Weizmann, president of the World Zionist Organization, upon his arrival here today.
At all stations leading to the capital large crowds gathered to greet the Zionist leader. Adolf Bernhardt, president of the Zionist Organization of Roumania, met Dr. Weizmann at Ploeschti. He was accompanied by Senator Horia Carp and delegations of the various Zionist factions. At the Bucharest depot Dr. Weizmann was greeted by a large crowd and many delegations including the president of the Bucharest Kehillah, Elly Bercovici. The Roumanian press commented favorably in editorials on the occasion of Dr. Weizmann’s visit to Roumania.
