(Jewish Telegraphic Agency)
Dr. Chaim Weizmann, president of the World Zionist Organization, will sail from here for the United States on October 23, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency is informed.
It was learned today that Dr. Weizmann visited Rome last week where he was received by Benito Mussolini. It is understood that the subject of the conference was the attitude of the Italian government toward the Palestine upbuilding work.
Dr. Weizmann acquainted Mussolini with the present situation in Palestine, the status of the Arab-Jewish relations and the development of trade between Palestine and Italy. Mussolini seemed to be well informed on all questions of Palestine and Zionism and expressed his wish for the success of the Zionist movement.
During Dr. Weizmann’s stay in Rome a reception was arranged for him in the synagogue.
