Mrs. Vera Weizmann will attend the memorial meeting for her late husband, Dr. Chaim Weizmann, which will be held in New York Dec. 17, it was revealed here today.
Replying to an invitation from Abraham Feinberg, chairman of the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science, which is sponsoring the memorial rally, Mrs. Weizmann said: “The progress of science and education in Israel, which was always the most important dream of Chaim since childhood, has found fulfillment in the Weizmann Institute. I hope that I will be strong enough to participate in the memorial meeting. I expect to arrive Dec. 14.”
(In New York, the American Committee announced that Prof. Albert Einstein has accepted the chairmanship of a committee of honorary patrons of the ” salute” to the memory of Dr. Chaim Weizmann at the Waldorf Astoria. A number of Nobel Prize winners have joined the committee of patrons and leading United Nations figures and American and world personalities are expected to attend the affair as sponsoring committeemen.)
