The fortieth anniversary of the Rev. Dr. William Rosenau as rabbi of the Eutaw Place Temple (Oheb Shalom Congregation) will occur Wednesday, August 31.
Dr. Rosenau is now spending his vacation in Europe and he is expected to return to Baltimore the early part of September.
In 1924 the constitution of the congregation was revised so as to provide for the life tenure of Dr. Rosenau.
Dr. Rosenau, who was born in Germany in May, 1865, formerly was a member of the School Board here. Last January he resigned from the faculty of the Johns Hopkins University where he had been associate professor of post-Biblical Hebrew for thirty years. He is the author of a number of books.
