James Wise, the twenty-year old son of Dr. Stephen S. Wise, took an unexpected trip to France, it was revealed here soday.
Young, Wise, according to Mrs. Wise, boarded the Paris to see some friends off. Entering his friend’s cabin, he was overcome by the heat, and slumbered off; awakening after the ship left the port.
Dr. Wise was notified by radio, and arrangements were made by radio authorization of the State Department for the issue of a temporary passport to the young man and for an advance of funds by the ship purser. Young Wise is expected to spend only a few days in Paris, before returning home.
