Plans for a month-long campaign for Jewish school registration, beginning with a rally in Town Hall on Sept. 24, were announced today by the New York Jewish Education Committee at a luncheon conference. It was pointed out that the Jewish population of school age has fallen faster than the general population in New York in the past ten years and that the percentage of Jewish children attending Hebrew schools has also dropped. Speakers included Bernard Semel, who presided, Israel Chipkin, Dr. Alexander Dushkin and Mr. Borowsky.
