Dropsie College of Philadelphia Will Open Field Station in Israel to Train Students

The Dropsie College for Hebrew and Cognate Learning which established its Institute for Israel and the Middle East two years ago will open a field station in Israel this fall to provide practical field training opportunities for a limited number of specially qualified students, it was announced here today.

In the academic year 1950-51 the headquarters of the field station will be located at the communal settlement of Ein Harod. Students will divide their time between working in the settlement and carrying out a social research project under the guidance of Dr. Raphael Patai, professor of anthropology at The Dropsie College, who has been appointed director of the field station.
