Leon Dulzin, treasurer of the Jewish Agency, said his visit to Canada a week ago on a fund-raising tour proved highly gratifying. “I was very impressed by the response of the Jewish community to Israel’s needs.” he told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency here. In 1976, he noted the community raised $4 million more in cash than it did in 1975 “and I expect a similar increase, at least, this year.” Dulzin, who visited Montreal, Windsor, Toronto and Hamilton on behalf of the United Jewish Appeal, described the Canadian Jewish community “as one of our best communities in the world. As Jewish Agency treasurer I returned from Canada very much encouraged by this responsible and dynamic response.”
