During his visit to Moscow on Monday, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak sought Russian assistance in locating several Israelis kidnapped recently in Russia’s troubled Northern Caucasus region. In the latest case, Laura Likhtman, an 18- year-old Israeli, was kidnapped in the southern Russian city of Nalchik. Her kidnappers are demanding a $500,000 ransom.
