Dutch Bank Grants Loan to Israel for Port Construction

The Amsterdam Bank has granted an additional loan of 94,000 pounds for the construction of new port facilities at the mouth of the Kishon River here, it was revealed today.

Nearly 25 percent of the 2,000,000 pounds invested in the project has been supplied by Dutch interests. The work of creating a new harbor and canal to serve Haifa’s industrial none is being done by a Dutch concern. It is expected that the major portion of the job will be completed by December when the new harbor will be opened for vessels up to 3,000 tons.
