An exhibition of the books which will be burned in Germany tomorrow has been undertaken on a large scale throughout Holland both by interested organizations and by enterprising book-sellers who are exhibiting the condemned works in special window displays. Some of the bookshops have surrounded the books with black crepe or placed funeral wreaths above them.

The Dutch chief rabbinate today issued a serious warning to the Jewish population to refrain from physical attacks on Germans, describing this as a mistaken method of combatting anti-Semitism. The warning was issued following repeated clashes with Nazis, some of whom acted provocatively, particularly in The Hague, where uniformed Nazis paraded the streets chanting the “Horst Wessel” song, Nazi anthem.
