Dutch Jewish leaders criticized a researcher for saying he wanted money before he releases five newly surfaced pages from Anne Frank’s wartime diary. The leaders said Cor Suijk’s demand “makes people sick.” Suijk said he needed the funds to support the activities of the New York-based Anne Frank Center, which he heads. He created a stir last month when he disclosed the existence of the pages, in which Anne criticized her parents’ marriage.
