Justice Minister Ivo Samkalden told Parliament today that the extradition to Holland by Austria of Erich Rajakowitch, former key aide to Adolf Eichmann in wartime occupied Holland, was a possibility, provided the former SS officer was still in Austria.
Rajakowitch was tried in connection with the deportation of 100,000 Dutch Jews and sentenced to a three-year prison term. He was released last Sunday and the Dutch Auschwitz Committee immediately sent an appeal to Dutch Prime Minister Joseph Cals to act immediately to extradite the Nazi from Austria.
