Funeral services were held at Zichron Meir cemetery in Bnai Braq yesterday for Eliyah Moshe Genechowsky, a former Knesset member of the National Religious Party who died at the age of 68. Genechowsky was born in Poland and lived in Antwerp for many years where he founded the Tachkemoni School. He was also founder of the Hashomer Hadati and Hehalutz Hadati, religious Zionist movements in Poland. He settled in Palestine in 1932 and served in the first and second Knessets.
