Harold Mager, former editor-in-chief of the War Finance Division, Treasury Department, has been named director of public relations of the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies, it was announced by Joseph Willen, executive vice-president of Federation.
Mr. Mager began his association with the Treasury Department in 1942 as Technical Assistant in the office of the Secretary of Treasury, preparing confidential material for Secretary Morgenthau and Under Secretary Daniel W. Bell. A year later he was appointed editor-in-chief of the War Finance Division. His services to the department won the praises of Secretary Morgenthau and Ted R. Gamble, national director of the War Finance Division.
