East Nigerian Premier Boltor Michel Okpara began a tour of Israel today, including visits to agricultural settlements, vocational schools and development projects. Premier Okpara’s visit here, part of a tour of several countries, including West Germany and India, is aimed at increasing Israel-East Nigerian cooperation.
A joint construction firm has already been established by Israel’s Solel Boneh building company and the East Nigerian Government. The firm, which employs more than 2,000 workers, including scores of Israeli technicians, has been building hotels, roads and public buildings throughout the West African country. Israel has also aided East Nigeria in water development projects.
