Aubrey Eban, chief Israeli delegate to the United Nations, today called on Dmitri Z. Manuilsky of the Ukraine, president of the U.N. Security Council for July, and discussed with him problems concerning the Israeli-Syrian armistice talks now being held on the border between the two countries.
It is understood that the chief subject of their discussion was clarification on what action Mr. Manuilsky, as president of the Security Council, may take when the armistice negotiations between Israel and Syria are ended. Mr. Eban was accompanied by Gideon Rafael, principal adviser to the Israeli delegation at the United Nations.
